Pitt Runs and Runs and Runs
They mixed in some special teams too

As I was sitting there in the on/off drizzles looking at my oldest son and listneing to him heckeling the Cincinnati bench. My heart started to warm as I realized . . . I am raising a die-hard Pitt Fan.

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Rashad Jennings and Pittsburgh greeted Cincinnati with a rude welcome to the Big East Conference.

Jennings ran for a career-high 102 yards as Pittsburgh scored the game's first 16 points en route to an easy 38-20 triumph over Cincinnati.

After serving as the Panthers' starting tailback for the first two weeks, Jennings had missed the team's last three contests with a shoulder injury. The freshman bounced back with a huge effort Saturday, recording the school's first 100-yard rushing effort since Tim Murphy ran for 106 yards against West Virginia on November 25.

Tyler Palko completed 14-of-32 passes for 175 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Pittsburgh (2-3, 1-1 Big East), which improved to 5-0 all-time vs. Cincinnati and captured the first ever "River City Rivalry" trophy.

Palko scrambled for a five-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter and Josh Cummings converted three field goals as the Panthers jumped out to a 16-0 halftime lead.

Bradley Glatthaar ran for a four-yard score on the Bearcats' opening possession in the second half, but Jennings capped a six-play drive on the ensuing possession with a 13-yard touchdown run - his first career TD - to give the Panthers a 23-7 lead.

Greg Lee caught three passes for 77 yards and a TD for Pittsburgh, which has won 10 of its last 12 home conference games.

Dustin Grutza completed 9-of-19 attempts for 180 yards and two touchdowns while Glatthaar ran for 63 yards on 16 carries for Cincinnati (2-3, 0-1), which played in its first Big East game after leaving Conference USA prior to this season.
